Freya Medrano

Postpartum Doula, Family Chef

She/Her

Freya is a holistic postpartum doula, family chef, and organic farmer, and she is excited to join the Sanctuary team to provide care to growing families on the Front Range. Her experience is grounded in a background of over 8 years in early childhood education, in-home family support, holistic animal husbandry, and a deep interest in holistic health and traditional Chinese medicine, which have synergistically informed her intuition and conscientiousness in providing attuned, individualized care. She seeks to provide care that sets a family up to thrive long beyond the postpartum window by consulting the family members themselves on where they are at and what they are needing.

Freya grew up in a military family, living in Texas, Georgia, and Germany throughout her childhood, various states in the US during college and early adulthood, and has called the Front Range her home for the past 5 years. From these rich experiences connecting with people from all over the world, she brings a keen sense for the care and practices that bring nourishment to the whole family in times of transition, with food, attentive home tending, a balancing presence, and a loving ear at the center of her offerings. Freya is fluent in English and Spanish, her first language.

In her free time you can find her milking goats at the farm she calls home, practicing drawing, and enjoying the company of her family and pets.
