She/Her

With nearly a decade of experience supporting mothers and newborns, Sandra Schmeling is a dedicated Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who brings compassionate, evidence-based care to every family she serves.

Sandra began her nursing career in 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience in postpartum, newborn, and antepartum care. In 2021, she transitioned into lactation consulting, working in a variety of hospital-based roles including bedside support, outpatient consultations, and NICU lactation care. Her deep understanding of both the clinical and emotional aspects of the postpartum journey uniquely positions her to guide families through one of the most transformative times in their lives.

In 2023, Sandra founded Healthy Mamahood, a private practice focused on nurturing the parent-baby connection through personalized lactation support. Whether working with first-time parents or those navigating complex feeding challenges, she creates a safe, supportive space that empowers families to thrive.

As a mother of three boys, Sandra understands firsthand the joys and challenges of the breastfeeding journey. She has been breastfeeding since 2020 and continues to nurse her newest addition, bringing both professional expertise and lived experience to her work.

Sandra’s approach is rooted in clinical excellence, empathy, and respect. She is passionate about helping parents feel confident, seen, and supported every step of the way.
