Tara Takacs

Postpartum Doula

She/Her

Tara is a postpartum doula with a Bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She is dedicated to supporting families through the deeply transformative transition into parenthood with nonjudgmental emotional, physical and educational support. Her approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and family centered, honoring each family's unique experiences, values and parenting journey.

Tara believes that postpartum support entails nurturing the wellbeing of the whole family. She is passionate about supporting birthing people in recovery and adjustment, empowering partners and creating space for siblings as families grow and shift together with a goal of helping families to feel informed, supported, rested and confident during the postpartum period.

As a certified yoga teacher, she recognizes the mind-body connection and the importance of slowing down to honor the transitions that come when moving through each season of life. Tara welcomes families of all shapes and sizes and is passionate about working alongside them to find what routines work best to help each family feel capable, sane and seen.

Outside of doula work, you’ll find Tara reading, crocheting, baking, spending time outdoors, practicing yoga and being with friends and loved ones - including her cat Cosmo.
