Birth Doula Care

Birth doula care helps you create a sanctuary to labor and give birth at your home, a birthing center and/or a hospital. At your birth, we anticipate and respond to you and your family's changing needs throughout labor, birth and "the golden hour" immediately after birth.

We provide suggestions and assistance to integrate an array of comfort measures focused on your physical and emotional well being. With our loving guidance, we invite family members to participate with more confidence to nurture the mother's work and bond the new family. We serve you and your birth journey with care, respect, compassion and non-judgment.

When a birth doula is present during and after childbirth, families:

  • enjoy greater satisfaction with their birth experience

  • tend to have shorter labors and spontaneous vaginal births

  • use less pain medication

  • tend to not need instrument delivery (forceps or vacuum extraction)

  • are less likely to birth a baby with a low Apgar score or have a Cesarean birth

Birth is a delicate yet powerful place where the maiden crosses a threshold into motherhood. In most kin-based cultures around the world, a woman preparing for her birth knows that other experienced women will be there to guide, assist and encourage her and remind her that she IS powerful. Whether you wish for a vaginal birth with or without medication, plan medical intervention, are having a planned or unplanned Cesarean birth or a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC), we can support your unique journey.

Our Birth Doula Care Packages include 2-3 prenatal visits, unlimited birth support, and 1 postpartum visit. Each pregnancy, birth, and postpartum is unique and needs may change throughout care. Hospital Recovery Support

Perfect for single parents, cesarean births, and when partners need to care for other children at home

Hospital Recovery Support is an absolute blessing for anyone who is recovering from the birth of their child. It is especially beneficial for those who have had a cesarean birth, single parents, and for when partners have to care for other children at home. This postpartum support consists of a doula joining you at the hospital to provide daytime or overnight support - this includes emotional support and advocating for your health & wellbeing! This visit can look different depending on the needs, essentially your doula would be caring for baby (or supporting you while caring for your baby)- including swaddling, soothing, and bringing them to you in bed to feed. Your doula will be a record keeper for poops, pees, and vitals, and can take first day(s) photos as well.

Support includes:

• Taking care of babe(s) (includes diaper changes, swaddling, snuggling, soothing) while you rest

• Bringing them to you in bed for feedings

• Bring a fresh, nutritious meal & herbal bath for you to enjoy

• Record keeping (poops, pees, nurse routines/vital checks)

• Teaching you how to change diapers, swaddling, & chestfeeding support

• Advocating for your health and wellbeing/Emotional Support

• Taking first day(s) photos
